I am eternally grateful to FERN for my experience the summer of 2007.  I can not imagine spending my summer any other way.  Being from Long Island, I was ecstatic to utilize my time and skills for the betterment of the environment of the area.  I had the opportunity to work with passionate scientists, staff, and other interns.  Every day was exciting, whether it was strapping on waders to venture into a wetland or helping with other ongoing FERN projects.    FERN enabled me to enhance my knowledge of ecology and has given me unforgettable field experiences.  I am so happy to have helped FERN “answer the call of nature”!
